Swansea have tweeted out but nothing on Cardiff or Villa, Sky Sports or BBC News. Obviously there is alot of other major news at the moment but I think it is safe to say lets have some confirmation as one wrong tweet might have caused an early rush of hopefully fake news.

So sorry to hear this. Tragic. I watched him as kid in the 2002 Youth Cup Final at Villa Park on the left hand side and thought he’d make it. Solid career at Cardiff in the end. Fair play. RIP Peter.

Really decent guy and had a pretty good career for himself. Such a shame.

Is it me but we do seem to have a high quota of ex players going young

Ugo
Birchy
Atkinson
Regis
Cooper
Now Whittingham

The number of players BFR signed in his first summer who have died is very sad.

Jesus H Christ!
So hard to believe that someone you saw when so young should lose his life at such a young age.
My Cardiff supporting mate loved him.
RIP Peter.

When my friend said to me a short while ago "How about Whittingham passing away" i assumed he was on about Guy Whittingham so was stunned when he said it was Peter .Awful news i watched him in the youth team and reserves and he was decent and i know he was well thought of at Cardiff  R I P Peter

Tom Ross has tweeted that his son is friends with Whittingham and the last he'd heard he was still in intensive care.
