There's precious little spirit in the camp at the moment as it is, and this twat thinks it's therefore the perfect time to have a training ground dust up. What a 24 carat, grade A throbber he really is.  And a massively shit, unfit player to boot.  Disgrace.

I can understand the logic behind bringing Reina in, even if it proves not to work. He seems to have been a model pro for most of his career so the thinking may have been that he would improve team morale, as well as filling a need for an extra goalkeeper given the injuries to Heaton and Steer.

Drinkwater, not so much. He left a team where he could have been regarded as an all-time great to collect a pay rise and sit on the bench elsewhere. Since then, he has hardly played but has been in the press for twattery numerous times. Nothing he has done since leaving Leicester would convince anyone he would be anything other than useless on the pitch, and poison in the dressing room. And so it seems to have turned out.

An utterly stupid signing, and not one that only looks bad in hindsight. I don't know a single person who was pleased that he joined Villa. Actually, that's a lie. One colleague was delighted.

He's a Chelsea fan.

I'm sure training ground flare ups happen quite regularly, but head butting somebody is a premediated act of pure thuggery, the sign of an absolute scumbag.  No surprise  it was Drinkwater, he's just an irredeemable scrote off the highest order.  I'd rather see Steve Hodge play for us again than him to be honest.  He'd probably be fitter, in any case.

The dumbest thing about this signing was that after the first game, when it was obvious he was light years from match fitness, we continued to play him.  He contributed absolutely nothing apart from giving a couple of goals away.  The idea that in a relegation struggle we could afford to carry an unfit player while he got match fit in the hope - rather than knowledge - that he would get back to his very best was staggeringly dumb.

I would like to know who thought that recruiting this unprofessional sack of shite was a good idea.

Then I would like them to leave the club immediately.

Hopefully, this incident if correct can bring this whole sorry tale to an end. Then we can start to forget that Danny Drinkwater ever crossed paths with Aston Villa.

Just when we need everyone pulling together this happens we really need togetherness in the squad.

Probably something Jota said on his first day at BMH. Drinky’s just got around to nutting him for it.

Can we be sure it was intentional, and not just a mistimed header?

From the Spurs game?

Looking on the Brightside :-

1. He's not eligible to play against his parent club on Saturday
2. Chelsea could take him home on the team coach and save us a bit of petrol

Point 2 is a great idea.
