He got a clean sheet. He keeps the shirt. I don't t give a shit about the ball crossing the line. He did enough.

Give Jed the shirt. Nyland was great in the semi finals but gifted a goal yesterday even if it wasn't given. Reina 3rd choice.

Nyland has done enough for me over the season to make him the first choice.

He didn't gift a goal.  He caught the ball and was knocked into his own net.

Reina has been mostly OK but sometimes awful. Nyland has been mostly good but sometimes awful. Is Kalinic still here?
Rarely can a club have had so many goalkeepers and still not have a decent back up. I'd go with Nyland, but am looking forwards to having Heaton back next season!

To be fair he made a complete faff of it , if he had caught the ball cleanly he would never have been pushed back into his own net.

When the ball is swung in the outcome shouldn't be a defender bundling his own keeper into the net with the ball.  Whether it was a freak accident or somebody wasn't paying attention I don't know.  Still, we got away with it.

The fact it ended up in the net means he made a hash of it.

It didn't end up in the net though, which is why we got away with it.

Nyland simply isn't a week in week out starter for me. He's done well in the cup cameos but we saw last year relying on him every week in championship wasn't a great success and I can see more errors if he plays rest of the season.

Not sure what we do though as Reina has declined from his early games and Steer probably isn't up to speed.

So following your logic, if a keeper makes a catch or save and is then pushed over into the goal by another player it's the keepers fault?

It was him struggling to deal with another high ball, he really struggled with that last season. Can remember a game where corner came in, no one challenged him and he just dropped the ball and luckily it went out for another corner.

He could've tipped it over the bar or just punched it clear out of the box. Other teams will be watching that and so will be slinging wide free kicks right under the crossbar to see what he does.

Let's bring back Burridge.

He's injured. Bloke him arm jumping off a wardrobe during lockdown.

If it was a choice between Nyland and Reina then we have got to stick with Nyland, but I don't know what Jed Steer has done that so many people clearly don't rate him.  He was absolutely crucial in getting us promoted, and he is honestly probably the only keeper we have had in the last 5 or 6 years who hasn't had me sh@tting myself whenever he goes near the ball (and I'm including Heaton in that list because as commanding as he is and good as some of his saves have been, he is still prone to the odd mindfart).
