Nyland, I wouldn't pick Reina again not even on the bench.

Don't you just love redemption stories?
I was at SheffU when Nyland conceded 4 and Bernard Cribbins was in the departure lounge: then, the general concensus was that Nyland should never play for us again.
He has found his mojo and looks cool and confident, even in this porous team.
He should have the gloves.

Nyland, just cancel the loan of Reina, I'll happily drive him home.

You've got no chance of getting anywhere near Milan

Dover Docks is close enough.

Nyland dosen't convinced me as a week in week starter. Was awful in the championship last year and while he's done very well in his cup cameos he was very lucky tonight.

I'd look to move him on in the summer. We know Steer is capable if we go back down and I think Heaton will stick around whatever division we're in so that's more than enough.

I’d have Nyland over Reina and I think Steer maybe injured?

I’m really (as always) just basing that on perception. Nyland was quality in the LC semi and Reina had a few shockers prior to lockdown. I think I’d probably prefer Steer over Reina too if he’s available.

Anyway Nyland’s got the shirt now and kept a clean sheet (kind of) so it’s his to lose now. I don’t even blame him for the non-goal really. He looked like he was struggling to balance after he claimed the ball and then got a nudge off our defender which tipped him backwards.

Just seen the 'ghost goal' - Jesus H we got away with that one.  Not sure it was Nylands fault though as Davis shoves in to him. Id still keep him in personally.

Love the way we appealed for a foul on the keeper before realising it was our own player too.

That's how I saw it: Nyland not blameless.
He looks composed and in sync with his defence.

I thought Nyland claimed that wicked, in swinging free kick very well until Davis clattered into him.  Overall, he is very good on crosses.  I'd stick with him.

I like Nyland, but he still looks shit scared most of the time, maybe it’s just his natural resting face?
I’m not convinced he dealt with ‘that’ cross well and he certainly flapped at it.

BUT, he had the presence of mind to get the ball back over the line and back in play as quickly as possible.

Fair play to him for that, and his handling and positioning for the rest of the game was pretty spot on.

Continue with him as number 1, for me.
