We'll play a high line, we'll concede at least 2, I just hope we can outscore them.

We've scored 3 goals (or more) in a league match once this season. The likelihood of us "outscoring" their 2, especially playing away are slim to none.
And slim left town.

3-1 defeat, they have a goal scorer in form.

I have done my bit to jinx Southampton by including them to win in my weekend premier league acca.

Good move, I think I'll add 2 more players to my fantasy football team as I have Ings already.

We will make Shane Long look like Dennis fucking Bergkamp.

Don't we always.

Dont lose - simple as that. An away draw I'll take. Their home form is excellent.

Their home form league wise really isn’t that excellent, won 3 drawn 2 lost 8. Out of the last 6 league games they lost 3 drawn 1. Their defeats and 2 wins being fairly spread out, so no real consistency.

Overall they have won 2 more games than us all season, lost 2 less. There isn’t a massive gap between us, though granted you wouldn’t of thought this at VP in December.

None of this means we’ll get anything, but we shouldn’t be going down there thinking we’re facing some sort of excellent side. They are capable of top draw performances like against us and Chelsea away, or dross like losing at home to Burnley the other week. This has to be one of the games we’re looking to win.

Was listening to the claret and blue podcast earlier and they were saying how we concede on average two goals per game. That’s a mad stat. But I think we’ll beat Southampton, so going with 2-3 scoreline. Now watch us lose 1-0...
Look at the table - 50 conceded in 26.

I heard a month or two ago we concede the most shots per game, I doubt if that's changed, especially after Sunday.

Has there ever been a safer both teams to score bet then us?  Wildly optimistic 2-2 I reckon.  Wembley starting places up for grabs for a few of them.

I almost never bet for or against Villa (us to be PL champions notwithstanding) but that's a pretty good bet in every game we play. It hasn't happened on only eight occasions this season.

Southampton are very inconsistent. If we can sort ourselves at the back and play well we can win this. We need to be taking advantage while west ham have tough games build a bit if a gap.

Games against leicester liverpool etc are free hits that we are likely to get nothing from but games like this and newcastle away are the ones we need ti be looking at getting something from
