Hoping for the best but fearing the worst.

I hope we come out of the traps quickly like we did against Spurs and if we do we can beat them.  But my fear is another lack lustre start and they'll get a couple of first half goals and that will be that.

I live down here and work with a Southampton fan so I'm keeping everything crossed for a result!

Might as well replicate the pre match thread for the Bournemouth match - same result I’m afraid.

Nobody’s learning anything. Another weekend ruined.
Blimey Levico - you've written exactly what I feel
Wafer thin confidence levels don't help .....I can't remember the last time I felt really confident about us  winning comfortably ...even if leading 2-0 we seem to go to pieces
I fear another loss 0-2. Another nail in the relegation coffin :(

I have done my bit to jinx Southampton by including them to win in my weekend premier league acca.

Has there ever been a safer both teams to score bet then us?  Wildly optimistic 2-2 I reckon.  Wembley starting places up for grabs for a few of them.

4-1 us, and we won't mess up this time. Samatta double with his head, Mings from 10 yards, Luiz from 20.

Mills for them with a scuffer off his mustache. No-one gets injured, they have 4 sent off for violent conduct at the death for rowing amongst themselves.

------------Reina
------Konsa, Engels, Mings
Guilbert, Luiz, Nakamba, Hourihane, Targett
--------------Grealish
------------Samatta

Not sure what additional cover Hourihane would give but we need another body in midfield that isn't Drinkwater.

In jack we hope

Yep, with Hourahane just ahead of the other 2 and Grealish in just behind Samatta. I would play Hause over Engels though.

2-1 to them still though i fear.

Dont lose - simple as that. An away draw I'll take. Their home form is excellent.

Something about Mings and Ings sharing a pack of M&Ms after the game as both sides share the spoils (a family pack of M&Ms).

It wasn't that excellent V Burnley.  I was chatting to a Southampton fan earlier and he reckons we'll win it as they are now suspect at home.

We'll play a high line, we'll concede at least 2, I just hope we can outscore them.

We've scored 3 goals (or more) in a league match once this season. The likelihood of us "outscoring" their 2, especially playing away are slim to none.
