Said it before and I'll say it again - you don't need titles on offer and you don't need big names. Put two evenly-matched boxers together and they'll do the rest.

That's a real shame. He was one of those Sportsnight, Harry Carpenter, Royal Albert Hall fighters from the golden era of TV boxing.

Grew up watching the likes of Alan Minter,Charlie Magri,Maurice Hope etc. As you rightly say,a golden era!
