Nasty one. Clobbered good and proper, blood all down his face, later airlifted to hospital. #thoughtsandprayers
I have done some research and LBC (Lightly Brushed Cheek) is in the same category as ACL in terms of recovery.  So yes #thoughtsandprayers :'(
Am I right in thinking the injury that has ended Son’s season at Spurs happened after 10 minutes but he finished the game? If only he was a fragile as El Ghazi eh? We’d at least be one point better off.

Is there anything in the rules to prevent us from putting out the Ladies team?

They appear to have rather more fight about them.

For something we're supposed to be excited about, it's a shame that I can't help but feel like it's going to be a right embarrassment.

Unless Smith can come up with a tactical masterclass like Ron Atkinson in 1994, we’re not going to compete. Certainly playing 433 or 343 won’t work.

No point in playing Grealish up front as he won’t get the ball. Forget width, pack the midfield and stop them running through the middle where they’re strongest. Free kicks will be the best way for us to get up the pitch.

Other than that, hope City have an off day and we can stay in the game.

I expect it will be like our fa cup final against arsenal. We wont turn up, game over after the first goal, villa fans to outsing the opposition fans all through the game.

It's a shame we have been a total shambles since the semi-final.

I am dreading this.  League survival is more important to me.

I had fleeting thoughts after yesterday about getting rid of my ticket. I messaged my son (who’s working in Denmark) to see if he still wanted to go. His reply was ‘hell yeah, I don’t care about the result, just being with you at Wembley following the Villa is enough for me’
What can you say

Thats how i see it going. If he plays 5 at the back and luiz and nakamba at cm its way too negative.

I wonder if mcginn will be on the bench next week? Boy do we need him back bad.

If i was in  hoosing the side id put nakamba luiz and conor in cm.

The big worry fkr me is what the hell we do with rest of midfield. Aeg wss a disgrace yesterfay. Trez was absolutely shocking terrible.

I have no idea what we do. Id be tempted if davis is back play him in the shoulder. If not  give lansbury or jota a run. They have been frozen out and nit had as maany opportunities as those two have.

Its tough because our squad just looks so poor. I think our summer business in midfield has geneally been absymal sadly. Id rather have got benrama than both of aeg and trez

I’ve just had a look back and we were a similar shambles before the semi-final. The previous few games - included Southampton (who’d looked terrible til that point), Fulham, & Watford that were all in the range of disappointing to shocking. Only the Burnley game in amongst the run up to the semi final looked anything like we had anything ........then we were left without a single striker.

We’d also already lost heavily to Leicester and didn’t expect anything.

.....but somehow we turned up.

.....so you never know.

I'd go 10-0-0 and get everyone to stand on the line for 120 minutes and take it to penalties.

Man City are rubbish from 12 yards.
