We should get the Europe spot.

Even though the LC runners up never have before? It was only the FAC that could happen and that was binned a few years ago which is why we didn't play in Europe in 2015/16.

Who said about being runners up? We should get it just, because.

(Not mine)

This is how it feels to be City,
This is how it feels to be small,
This is how it feels when your passport's back in the drawer.

Absolutely ridiculous rule. Entirely set up to make sure nobody could ever challenge the likes of Man United, Liverpool, Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid ever again and looks to be working.

Cartels are supposed to be illegal. Hopefully Man City challenge it and get this ridiculous rule in the sea.

But..but...no clubs have gone under since FFP was put in place. Uh, apart from...

Darlington
Portsmouth
Port Vale
Coventry City
Aldershot Town
Bolton Wanderers
Bury

But these clubs don't matter.

Most of those clubs' difficulties have nothing to with FFP, a fair few of them were in the shit before FFP even started.

Citeh statement

Quote
Manchester City is disappointed but not surprised by today’s announcement by the UEFA Adjudicatory Chamber. The Club has always anticipated the ultimate need to seek out an independent body and process to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence in support of its position.
In December 2018, the UEFA Chief Investigator publicly previewed the outcome and sanction he intended to be delivered to Manchester City, before any investigation had even begun. The subsequent flawed and consistently leaked UEFA process he oversaw has meant that there was little doubt in the result that he would deliver.  The Club has formally complained to the UEFA Disciplinary body, a complaint which was validated by a CAS ruling.

Simply put, this is a case initiated by UEFA, prosecuted by UEFA and judged by UEFA. With this prejudicial process now over, the Club will pursue an impartial judgment as quickly as possible and will therefore, in the first instance, commence proceedings with the Court of Arbitration for Sport at the earliest opportunity.

Bury apart,  the rest either first went into administration before FFP kicked in, or haven't at all.

For those still after tickets by any means necessary, the sponsor's Twitter page seems to be running a few competitions offering chances to win...

And off the top of my head none of them were to do with FFP.

Not sure what you mean by that.  FFP in League 1 and 2 isn't the same as in the Championship and the Premier League.  It's called SCMP, Salary Cost Management Protocol, whereby clubs are only permitted to spend a proportion of their turnover on wages.  All of the clubs that went into administration did so because they ran out of money in one way or another, so hard to say it wasn't to do with FFP, as spending too much money on wages is one way that most football clubs get into trouble.

It's not hard at all. Coventry and ground for example had zero to do with any form of FFP. And the problems were starting before there was any FFP.

I'd forgotten Bolton went, but the rest were before FFP had any effect and has been said, were unrelated to its introduction. Compare and contrast with the ten years esrlier.

I've attended a game at the Ettihad. Might ring em see if I can get some extra tickets...

I went to Maine Road...so presumably I can cherry pick a top seat.
I drove past that awful stadium the other day so I think I will qualify for a ticket next week when they can’t sell their allocation.

I lived in Manchester for 11 years and the Etihad was on my doorstep. So I've got a city account as I've done a fair few champions league fixtures because getting tickets for Juventus. Barcelona, Real and Bayern was easy.
Well I've bought two tickets for my father in law in the away end today as I qualified for a ticket.
This must be a record to qualify and get tickets for both ends of the stadium!
