The League Cup doesn't matter. The Europa League doesn't matter. Despite what we might say on here the crowds we get prove that the FA Cup doesn't really matter.  So what does matter? Messing around in the middle of the Premier League until it's our turn to get relegated again? Hoping for a miracle that'll get us top four so we can play the sort of clubs we'd play in the Europa League, plus if we're lucky one of the Big Names?

I agree with you Dave.

What's the point in football if you're not trying to win something? We support teams and glory, not businesses.

I mentioned this to a Palace fan the other day and he didn't know what to come back with.

It's because of the brainwashing that the Premier League and Champions League are the be all and end all.

At the end of the day, most club sides start the season only competing in 3 competitions. The League is normally only going to be won by a handful of the teams and the cups offer a potential for anyone.

That we'd turn up the chance to win one of those three just so that we can be an also-ran in another baffles me.

Well, you'd have thought he would have remembered the importance of winning the Zenith Data Systems Cup.  ;)

Totally agree, just the wheels of capitalism innit.

Not so long ago, Liverpool and Man City were doing cartwheels over winning this competition. Just because their priorities have changed, doesn't mean its worthless.

Man City's allocation is on general sale and season ticket holders have been given access to purchase two extra tickets.

What is it with us drawing these absolute tin pot outfits with dire support in finals of late?

Looks like they only need to have attended one game to get a ticket.

Hopefully on 1 March, we'll be able to change Leicester for Man City!
