If goes to general i wonder if villa fans will try get some in the city end?

Any returned by city should go ro villa fans in my opinion
I'm sure they aren't going to officially sell tickets in the Citeh end  to Aston Villa fans.

Yeah its wishful thinking. Which begs the question why the hell have city been given more tickets than us?

I would guess it goes off average crowd size, and common sense doesn't come into it.

I think that as long as your average crowd would more than fill it, it should be 50/50. I think it is different for clubs who can barely attract 20,000 most weeks, but as virtually all our crowds this year have been over 40,000 and have barely been under the 33,000 for years, we should get half.

it's only a couple of hundred difference and it's to do with the configuration of the ends. Derby had the same last season.

As Dave says it is essentially 50:50.

And I don't think the idea giving one team a bigger allocation than another because of average crowd size is ever fair - why should one team give up any advantage because of the size of their ground / fanbase?

Remember, rather than give Leicester the whole north stand, we chose to net off seats and leave them unsold so as to minimise the impact of their fans on the day - and rightly so.

I also remember an argument in here abot how we should have more tickets than Fulham - their sales criteria was something like 4 tickets per ST holder and someone was arguing 'real fans' (and by that he meant Villa fans) should be allowed the seats.  Yet Fulham ultimately sold their allocation to people who at least wore white and waved those fucking clappers about.  And good luck to them, it is exactly what should have happened and what should always happen.  50:50 for cup finals full stop.  Nothing else is fair.

Did Man City sell out last season? The game was 9,000 under capacity

6 tickets available per purchaser for Fulham. Don't know where they'd all gone when we played them in January.

It doesn't matter does it?  They got to the final on merit, filled their side of the stadium, made a reasonable noise and their team won fair and square?  Do you think it would have been fairer to have 60,000 villa fans and 20,000 Fulham?

As if the big clubs haven't already got enough advantage in this world without people suggesting they get bigger allocations at cup finals.  FFS.

I think when you're buying 6 tickets ago suggests you have no business having a 30,000 plus allocation. It's been and gone and they're back to getting one man and his dog watching them in the 2nd division.

I think it's more about segregation than that - the front rows, for example, will have been to make it harder for pitch invasions their end if they'd won.

I don't think so, they left a large section of the upper empty too.  I think we gave them the minimum required allocation - and rightly so.

Minuscule difference in allocation due to seat configurations. It'll still be 50/50 as it always should be.

Yes, actually.

So you think it would have been fair for Fulham to get allocated their average attendance while we were allocated 28k more than our average?
