Is this some kind of wind up? Having Lescott giving his opinion on how bad our defending is!!

I got asked earlier, ‘What time do Villa kick off?’

I don’t think, ‘Every ten minutes,’ was the answer they wanted.

Dean Smith isn’t getting fired. This is it. We will either find a way out of this or get relegated with him in charge. And I doubt he will ever admit it’s anything to do with him or his fault.

Like asking the McCanns for childcare guidance.

Think today has also shown McGinn is a miss in these sort of games.

Has drive and mobility and played well in our good away games against the better teams.

We simply don't have enough players who are an out ball and can get us up the pitch which you need in these type of games as space will be left.

The few times we got upfield with AEG or Jack there is no one else there they are all too slow. In this formation against this quality of opposition the 2 wing backs are useless a well

Pull a fuse for fuck sake.

Changes at half time to stop it getting worse? Bench is woeful too. Nakamba and Guilbert on. Drinkwater and Hourihane off. Maybe Konsa in midfield .

The team selection just leaves me shaking my head.

We play two defensive full backs rather than attacking players. The midfield is full of average and not fit for purpose players. Drinkwater has played 2 games in two years is it, why put him in against a team where you have to play with controlled aggression. Hourihane has proved time and time again he is not a man to close down and get a tackle in and against the better teams he goes missing, Douglas Luiz well enough said about that first half. The statistic they flashed up about most shots conceded just shows how bad our midfield is.

The amount of misplaced passes and giving the ball away and basic errors we continue to make is mind boggling.

We need to at the very least come out and show some fight.

I don't see the point in slagging off the manager at this stage. What can he do with this group of spineless players. No forwards, lightweight midfielders and taylor and Elmo. And this team is an improvement on last years dress.

Can only hope City take their foot off the gas like they did last Tuesday against United.

Too many Championship players, and a Championship manager.  That's where we are heading, so may as well sort our transfer business out for a crack at winning the division next season.  This has been beyond shite.

I find it incredible that no changes have been made by the look of it.

Personally I'd try and improve the press second half, give Trez the ball.

Can he play the false number nine?

Pretty incredible to see Drinkwater come out for the second half.
