I've rarely seen such a lack of confidence in a team.

I've seen it before, we got relegated.
True enough. :(

I also don't care about how Wesley tries, or puts a shift in.

Bollocks to this "put a shift in" myth that surrounds him.

Compare him casually jogging to close down and losing every challenge to the way the Watford front 3 fight for the ball.

He does the bare minimum.

Jota is a central or attacking midfielder, why he's out wide makes no sense. It never works because he has no pace.

I'm expecting a change(s) at HT

I would not hold your breath

Anyway we are only allowed 3 subs and at least 7 of them need taking off

Who do we get in as manager though?

Silly question - there are so many great options - with our owners, their money, the size of the club. If Everton can attract Ancelotti, you dont think we can attract similar calibre?

Precisely, Villa are a fantastically wealthy club, some would say on that merit alone Dean Smith isn't good enough and we should be aiming higher, thing is that doesn't need to be said, he's proving it.

Konsa is to blame for goal onmy. Idiot should ahve hoofed that to space.  Hos positioning for rebound was also atricous.

All i know is the back four hss been a complete an dutter shambles most of the season and the manager hss to take responsibility.you can get away with not having a great back four in championship but at this level you cant.

This is a unforgiveable perofmance so far at this level. One shot on target all half. Not good enough.

Onviously there will be no changes at half time from smith

Why does a team that can't pass insist in passing in the most dangerous area of the pitch?

All the tempo we had in the first few months has simply evaporated. Coasting to relegation.

I would love to see two changes at half time. Targett Off and Chester on. House to left back.

Kodija on, Lansbury off.

We’ve got nothing to lose now.

I also don't care about how Wesley tries, or puts a shift in. He's paid to be the front man who should, under normal circumstances be the primary goalscorer.

If anyone else on here. "put a shift in" but failed to do their job they be gone in a heartbeat. The whole effort thing is bollocks. He's a Brazilian centre forward who doesn't score goals...us, only fucking us could do that.

With respect that is utter bollocks. If you asked any of the great managers what they want first its work rate ie put a shift in as a minimum. If all the players did that then the goals and quality follows

He's mostly doing Targett's job for him.

Who do we get in as manager though?

If the owners are serious they will have already sounded out new managers.

The owners' next move will send us a message of where they intend to take us.

1) Hold onto Smith past the New Year = Inept
2) Bring in manager of similar calibre/holding manager (eg. Big Sam/Moyes, etc) = No ambition
3) Top quality head turning manager = Hold onto your seats!

Such an important half coming up. I wouldn't expect any sort of change to the tactics now, it seems that the manager has fallen into the trap of bloody minded cowardice that sees so many lose their role.

Is Jack playing on the left again?

Yep. Hugging the touchline pretty much.
