I really don't like that side, seems very lightweight.  Elmo in for Freddie again, Lansbury in at all.  So much for having two players for every position?  Yeah, maybe, but not of the same quality.

Landsbury was poor against Sheff but was first game back, he could be a big player today I think  this is
4 2 3 1.

Why is Guilbert not starting?

He is easily one of our better players this season.

Can't see us winning tbh.

Please prove me wrong Villa

I think it's now safe to assume Wesley cannot be dropped for league games.

Because we have no viable other options. Don't say Kodjia.

Really? Wesley has hardly set the world on fire and Kodjia when he got his chance did the business. Ok it was against Liverpool's kids but you can only beat what's put in front of you. Wesley has started to work more but for me that's not enough.

If that game is your criteria Wesley scored against them too !

Agreed but can you honestly say that Wesley's overall contribution means he deserves not to be dropped? If you leave out his goal against the Liverpool kids he last scored on 5th October.

After 1/2 a season we should have a much more settled side, style of play. Some form of identity. We don’t. Today is yet another example of throwing things together and hoping something, anything clicks. When Bruce did it we rightly criticized him. I know we essentially threw things together in the summer but it’s long past that adjustment period in my opinion. It feels chaotic now.

If Lansbury, why not Kodjia?

Deeney will score. We will lose.

And other results will be shite.

Well, the team has been picked and although we might not all agree on the selections, let’s remember we haven’t lost yet.
Maybe a bit of radical thinking is what was needed and Smith is mixing it up to try and hit on a formation.

Today just might be the day.

C’mon me babbies !!!!!!

I think he's getting better, and I'd pick him ahead of Kodjia personally. All about opinions though.

I say again, this is about partnerships and building on them.  We don't have a single partnership in the side.  Smith works with these players day in day out and one would think he'd know his best side by this point of the season. Not having a pop at you Andy.
