I posted on Facebook last night that we had demolished the European Champions and it was one of the greatest nights in our history, and a Liverpool "fan" (from Wolverhampton, only visits Anfield for the Stadium tour) thought I meant it!
I have posted something similar. Let's see the Brummie Reds get all offended....

Brummie Red: "pity you haven’t got the class shown by the Villa manager & assistant manager"

RAWK is not all Liverpool supporters by a long way, and Klopp was extremely dignified when they beat us 6-0.
You're quite right and actually some of the posts by Liverpool fans below the Graun's post-match report were even-handed, even complimentary in some cases.  But RAWK is in my experience the most one-eyed forum around.

I remember their inward vented fury at how they had been outsung at Wembley in 2015. Lots of angst ridden posts about their support that day.

Well they were put in this position by them. The fault is purely with those that didn't seem to think that one of the best sides in the country may well win a couple of League Cup games and so there would be a fixture clash for this round.
Who’s them?

Those that scheduled the league cup QF ties during the same week a club that was likely to be in them was in Qatar.

Get in.  First team to beat Redplop this season!

I think Napoli might have something to say about that.

Liverpool at home? Check.

Villa win? Check.

Villa score five goals? Check.

Yep, it's December 1976 all over again! Okay, maybe not.

Like a few others, I would have loved to have seen a couple of our young lads out on the pitch at 4-0 with half an hour to go.

Ramsey and Archer have appeared earlier in the tournament, for example.
