I'm not specifically complaining myself. It was more directed at some people who decided that 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' was so backed into a corner that it was all they could do and the nasty EFL, FA, and everyone else should be hung drawn and quartered for putting them in this position.

Any players flying out now can only play in the final game. And they've taken 20 players to Qatar. They've done the right thing for them and it's what i'd have wanted us to do in the same circumstances. Seems bizarre to me that people are complaining we didn't play a stronger Liverpool side that would have increased the chances of us not being in a semi final.
I don't think any Villa fan is complaining that we didn't play a stronger squad. It's the fact that Liverpool are complaining about being forced to play a youth team when they clearly had options.

Has anyone seen their team for tonight? They are playing reserves. Arrogant tossers.

6 of them started the last league game and 3 others came on as subs. The other 2 are Keita and Lallana who have played 20 games this season for them.

And only because Fabinho and Wijnaldum who would normally play are injured.

Plenty are. Again, Liverpool have taken a squad of 20 players to Qatar, 18 are involved tonight, what exactly should they be doing?

Everton next please and United in the final.

Exactly a decade later. It's time justice was served. 🙏

1999–2000 (Final Reached)
2009–2010 (Final Reached)
2019–2020 ??

This is what I don’t like. Everyone in establishment are always against them and no one else.

Well they were put in this position by them. The fault is purely with those that didn't seem to think that one of the best sides in the country may well win a couple of League Cup games and so there would be a fixture clash for this round.

we are operating on two different levels with different priorities

we are a big traditional football club with a support mostly from the local area and West Midlands in general

Liverpool are a global brand

I'm another who wants to add his praise to the magnificent Liverpool side who completely outplayed the Villa bastards but luck deserted them and it ended, unfairly, 5-0.

Pretty much my take on it too.
