Kodjia can still turn a man like nobody else since my gay brother-in-law.

Sounds like a confession.
Outing your BIL on a public forum is brave.

The brother-in-law is fictional. I was just searching for a simile and it popped up!

Big thank you to the club for at long last fixing the tannoy system. First time for nearly 20 years that I’ve understood announcements.

RAWK is not all Liverpool supporters by a long way, and Klopp was extremely dignified when they beat us 6-0.
You're quite right and actually some of the posts by Liverpool fans below the Graun's post-match report were even-handed, even complimentary in some cases.  But RAWK is in my experience the most one-eyed forum around.

I posted on Facebook last night that we had demolished the European Champions and it was one of the greatest nights in our history, and a Liverpool "fan" (from Wolverhampton, only visits Anfield for the Stadium tour) thought I meant it!

The record will state Aston Villa 5 Liverpool 0 that's really all that matters.

If Liverpool had their way it would read Aston Villa 5 Liverpool 0*

* It doesn't really count because we had to field a team of 6th formers.

Nice to see some comments from their coach about how the club, players and management were towards their ‘kids’. Touch of class

I’m pretty sure that if by some miracle Villa were to qualify for the Club World Cup I would want them to prioritise that over the League Cup as it might be the only chance we ever get to appear in it. Given that they potentially play two games they need to have their strongest squad available so I really do not have much in the way of complaints about their team last night.

We were so slow off the mark that for the first ten minutes I thought it might be an embarrassing night.  We were a little fortunate with the first couple of goals but then pretty much cruised, albeit giving them several clear sights of goal which Nyland did very well with (shame about his distribution).   Their kids look technically very good and you can see a few of them stepping up in a couple of years.  Experience told in the end.  Glad for Wesley who made some good runs apart from the goal.  I thought Trezeguet was pretty dreadful, hardly in it until he missed three very good chances second half although he ultimately played a good ball through for Wesley's goal. My borther's theory is we only bought him because Sawiris is Egyptian and he wanted the Egyptian poster boy to win fans there.  I hope that's not the case.

Not too many complaints....really. I don't have any. I don't care if they send a team of kitchen staff to represent them, as long as Villa win that is fine by me.

Watching the highlights I thought the celebrations all round were a bit muted which made sense given the occasion.

A quick read on RAWK certainly caused a few smiles. On one hand we’re absolute shit and their first team will smash us at Anfield (maybe they forget the late goals to get 3 points recently?) on the other hand their team did really well considering the age of their team.

Most seem outraged we didn’t roll over and let them win.

"You can only beat what's in front of you"  and we did, with a makeshift team, and pretty comfortably

Everton next please and United in the final
