It's great and right that Ron Saunders should be remembered by the club and fans alike. I'm just looking forward to the day that one of our stands at VP will be named after him. I know which one I'd choose.

I have supported the Villa before Ron and after Ron
But if there is a time that defines my best times in supporting Aston Villa it is the Ron Years.
The expectation, the football, the part of being something with a forward traction and maybe the age I was at but those were the years.
I hope that Dean can re create something for the new generation of fans but in my heart Mr 110% is Mr Aston Villa.

Naming stands after great managers or players is something we seem very slow doing at villa.

I've often thought what would Saunders have made of social media.  Would probably have banned players from having any accounts.

One of the worst things about social media is the number of times you see people write ‘of’ when they mean ‘have’.

Some of us went to crappy comprehensive schools in the 70s. I would 'of' loved to go to a private or posh grammar school but my parents were brassic.  My English teacher would send us to the shop or play us his LP's in class rather than actually bother teaching us English. Happy times though.

Our politics teacher in six form went on maternity leave. They roped in a lad who was fresh out of uni who was one of her former students to fill in for her, but he was a massive Villa fan so all we did was grab one of the TV/VHS trolleys and watch his 3hr compilation of various Villa goals and highlights taped off the news from the last 10 years. And that was at A-Level.
