Sad news. There must be thousands of people tonight reminiscing about the great times he was responsible for bringing to their lives. 110% from everyone tomorrow.

"Do you want to bet against us?" should be his epitaph.

110% agree.

Sad day for all connected to our beloved club.

He was Aston Villa when I was a kid and always will be to me.

I am pretty sure there was a big twist in the title race in April 1981 when we went to Leicester and won whilst Albion beat Ipswich.

I cried at Highbury, I cried at Rotterdam. I’ve just cried now. So sad.
RIP Sir Ron. God bless you and your family

Far and away the best manager in my 53 years of supporting Aston Villa. Will never forget Highbury 1981 and Rotterdam 1982. RIP Ron Saunders you will never be forgotten.

Hard as nails.
Tony Morley said of him “ if we didn’t have a bust up once a week, he’d think we’d fallen out”.
Disgraceful he’s not Sir Ron.

Any time we've gone through tough times as a club, Ron's achievements have kept me going and believing.  The fact that I never, ever, doubt Aston Villa are capable of being the very best club in England and Europe again is entirely down to the great man and that 110% will to win that he had.  My sincere sympathy to his family and friends.
