Love listening to Purslow he sounds genuinely smitten with our club. Fans, stadium, history, he just sounds proud as punch which is fantastic to hear. Simon Jordan is another one who seems to genuinely admire all things AVFC. Good time to be a Villa fan.

Always like hearing Simon Jordan's opinion. I can see why he's not everyone's cup of tea but I think he gives a good insight into how people think at boardroom level.

He dislikes Sullivan, Gold, Brady and Bruce after Bruce was poached from Palace. During our summer of turmoil last year he spoke very well about Villa and does seem to have a soft spot for us. Listening to him talking about us on Talksport a couple of times around the time of our financial problems and rumoured takeover he appeared to have some insider knowledge of what was going on. At one point I strongly suspected he might even be involved.

Smooth or not he comes across as far more competent than some of the characters we have had in high places at the club in recent times.

Smooth is different than smooth with substance.  Purslow has the latter.
