Interesting to see we're ranked 9th in the Prem - I'm sure the club could be doing a lot more.
The articles a good read if you're a fellow green nut.

Good read that. Did wonder how up to date it was – didn't we abandon the garden-watering scheme when the restaurant attached to it closed a couple of years ago? Also, there's no way we're not using plastic sachets – they're definitely used on the Holte concourse.

Interesting article, but short of staying out of Europe to avoid unnecessary travel, I can't think of much the club has done over and above any other organisation with a clear sense of corporate responsibility.
On the other hand, I presume Watford have been saving all their plastic fizzy pop bottle tops to pelt at seal pups.

Looking at the league table near the end of the article, Villa are bottom of the sustainability table, based on last season's participants.
While the primary focus is what happens on the pitch, is anyone else here dismayed that our club appear to not be doing more on this? I wonder how difficult it would be to strap solar panels to the Trinity Road stand roof, provide reuseable pint glasses (or even paper pint glasses), and to do away with bottled drinks.

Don't get me started on this. The catering the club uses now pours CANNED lager into PLASTIC cups
Absolute madness

Found it bizarre we had the sprinklers on pre match Sunday after all the heavy rain

I like to know what Purslow and the owners say about this.
Absolutely shocking
Really embarrassing to be that club in the Premier League.
Such neglect is not acceptable and I will be contacting the club

All seems a bit of a random selection of criteria to me. All very well using reusable cups, but how much energy, water and concrete etc did it take to build the new Spurs stadium? Have you seen their lights flashing at the start of games, I don't think that's all powered by windmills to be honest. It's an important issue and all clubs should do their best, I just don't think I trust the result of that survey. It's the same as all the leaders at the Cop conference talking about saving the environment whilst their chauffeur driven cars are parked outside with the engines running.

We can certainly do better, and I hope we do. Reusable cups and pouring pints into them rather than using cans don't seem particularly difficult to achieve, for instance.

Do they still do coaches/buses coming in from likes of Tamworth?
Might be worth hiring a few to come in from the city centre on matchday given reduced train services now and unreliability of the general bus service at peak times so might encourage a few more to use that than drive.
