We need to follow up the Norwich result with a win though, badly. We dropped points in my mind against Bournemouth and Burnley so can't afford to do it again.

I'm going for 2-1 us. If we press them high I think we'll win. The North East Villa contingent (2 of us) are coming to this one.

Just seen the interview with Dean Smith on their website. Astonishingly (but not surprisingly given what a bunch of arrogant ***** they are) there's barely a mention of us and they focus almost entirely on themselves and the wonderful Mings.

Astonishingly, arrogantly, our manager talks about us.

What a radish.

Such a bunch of *****s we are, always focusing on our own club. Imagine.

Brighton created one of the best names for a fanzine ever.

I miss proper paper fanzines and the pages in the back of When Saturday Comes that listed them. And the annual box of fanzines that Dave Wangerin would send to me which he received in exchange for the free copies he sent to other fanzine writers.

Ahhh memories.....

Come on you Villa boys! FTF!

3-1

Also, I remember him discussing at length O'Connelly?

Absolutely no idea what they're on about. The press asked him about Maupay, Connolly and Brighton as a team, which he answered fully, praising them for their win over Spurs.

I assume the Brighton manager only talks about us and never mentions his own team in his pre-match interview.

We should have enough to beat these at home. Maupay is the danger man for them. I think they have quite a high average age in their team and may tire later on.

Firstly, Mings is class, as shown in the England game, almost single handedly organising the defence and defensive midfield areas at every turn, we have a serious defender in Mings and England have a future Captain in the making, going for a 2-0 Villa win on this one, must keep the points coming in.

After Monday's events, I expect Tyrone will have a particularly massive cheer when the team is announced.

2-0 Villa will do nicely. Keeping us further away from trouble!

An anticlimactic 1-1.
