The second article on BBC Sport mentions Villa women.

They hate us.

First draft of the BBC's football page reaches the desk of the Director-General. Tim Davie runs his finger down, nodding, making approving noises, until suddenly his expression changes. Davie's normally kind, uncle-who-likes-metal face is now a writhing mask of fury. He turns to his secretary and says in a low, cold voice: "find who is responsible for this and get them the fuck out of here." Panicking, the secretary's gaze is drawn to where Davie's finger, quivering with rage, is pointing. With a pang of horror, she reads the offending words three-quarters the way down the page: "Aston Villa Look To Keep Pace With Leaders Arsenal". Immediately, she bursts into tears.

It's just as bad on the other channels. I can't remember when we ever got mentioned on Talking Pictures. There was an old episode of Upstairs Downstairs and Mr Hudson was going to watch Chelsea play. I checked out the dates and and they were not even in the first division !

Can you get AI to do that to the Downfall video?

There'll be plenty of coverage of this. Fill your boots. And, next time you're asking why we're not spoken of as contenders, this is why.

We're above-the-fold on the BBC Football site! 'Brilliant 10-man Brentford beat Villa'!

And the Guardian! 'Aston Villa’s title hopes dealt blow by 10-man Brentford amid VAR drama'

Here's all the media attention you've been moaning about. Enjoy!

So Danny Murphy thinks that Cash overreacted for the red card. I had to re-listen a couple of times because it seemed such a bizarre position to take. He said “we’re not quick enough to jump on the players for trying to stitch other players up, which is cheating. …. [Cash] should be having a look at himself in the mirror. That is an over the top reaction to a very minimal contact”. Really??? Of all the red cards given in the EPL, that one stands out as being a player acting to get another player sent off?

Totally agree Murphy is an embarrassment of a pundit.
And of course the ball was out for the VAR decision, he knows it all.

Why on Earth would any Villa fans be watching Match of the Day this evening? Unless you didn't know the result in advance in which case, my commiserations.

One thing I will say is that you chaps must really love football to be watching MOTD when Villa have lost.  You couldn't pay me* to watch highlights or analysis of a game Villa lost.

*Not literally true.

You beat me to it.

And I hadn't considered the second point. All that "look away now if you don't want to know the scores" was never a thing in my family.
