Yoro poor chap was in a no win, get tight and Rogers rolls him, nutmegs him or does his step over and he's gone. So Yoro stands off, Rogers drives at him, drops the shoulder and Yoro is chasing shadows. Rogers has the ability to make good defenders look a bit daft.

I love listening to Wayne The Brain Rooney. His analysis is always on point. If he had been around when Gordon Banks made that save from Pele's header at the 1970 World Cup in Mexico he would have pointed out how poor Pele's header was as he should of aimed for the other corner.... obviously

It was amazing play by Rogers but Yoro was Blose in letting him have all the space he wanted.

Poor first touch by Morgs !   ;)

The segue from the News to MoTD was "and now let's see how ManU did today'.

Shite. But nice to be below the radar. If we're honest, we don't think we'll win it, Emery keeps playing it down, and the players just seem to go and get on with it. What a season it's been so far.

I don’t think we will win it either.  I think Wimbledon will turn us over at home and we will then lose away to a Kevin Drinkell goal.

I'm just glad we're not away to Coventry on Boxing Day.

Are you thinking about that bar steward Quinn and 3-0 day?

This is one of the very best things about him. He has multiple ways to beat a player, which means they can't easily 'prepare' when they face him. He has the quick feet of a nippy winger. He has the strength of a central midfielder to hold you off and roll you, he can cover 40 yards in the middle of the park with the ball at his feet as quick as anyone in the league, and he has the confidence to try the unexpected, knowing his manager and teammates are comfortable with him failing when he tries something.

He must be an absolute nightmare to play against.

Yes, his analysis on whether or not Villa are in a title race was so illuminating. He doesn't think we are in a title race because to win the league you have to be 'special', and Man City and Arsenal are just 'better'.

To be clear, I'm not convinced that we are in a title race either, but only because I remember 98/99, and we're not even half way through the season yet. Even if we are still in the mix in February/ March, I think our squad depth will ultimately become a factor. How could it not when we had to sell players last summer whilst the other two strengthened.

However, I don't think that Man City or Arsenal are 'better' or that Villa aren't 'special'. How can they be better when we've just beaten them both. How can we not be special when we have just won 16 of the last 18 games.

We were very lucky to win yesterday but Arsenal showed resilience in grinding out an important win.
