He thinks Piers Morgan is a ******, so that's a big plus.
This.

Everyone that I know that has ever met him has described him as an arrogant prick or similar.

I worked with someone 5-10 years ago who remembered him as a young footballer in Leicester and that’s word for word what she said about him!

But I think we’re allowed to change, mellow, and be tempered by our experiences through life. That was a long time ago, he’s got his own family and has been through some personal struggles.
He comes across very well from this video (featuring very challenging questions), which is considerably less ‘managed’ than MOTD.

I think he’s superb on MOTD and that he’s going to be missed.

Yep, Remember when he did the BBC golf for a short while, they very quickly booted him ino touch.

That's because most golf people are fascists.

EDIT: Worse than fascists, Oswald Mosley at least had good dress sense.

I know one of Oswald Mosley's relatives. Luckily she doesn't like Fascism. Or golf.

I think they're actually pretty friendly and it's all a big social media bantz thing.

Without wishing to come across as an apologist, was it universally known that that a rat represented anti semitism?
I had no idea. I don't mind Lineker and I find Shearer quite amusing as well.

On a slight tangent this popped up on my YouTube feed last week and I thought it was interesting.

Thanks for that Exeter; really enjoyed it.
He's alright isn't he?

For anyone who hasn't watched this series (The Assembly on ITV, although the pilot is actually on iPlayer with Michael Sheen), it's well worth it.

Yeah, Danny Dire and David Tennant were good value as was Jade Thirlwell. The neurodivergent-fuelled questions were hilarious.

What you really need is a proper arsehole to do it, but obviously they wouldn't.

I've never really liked him as a presenter. I like some of his politics and views but just never warmed to him.

The thing that went on in his favour was not being a Top 6 fanboy. Just a bit bland.
