Anyone doing the CL Squares on the BBC website. Best I have ever done points wise with 40 (although previous nights have all been 0), although I'm still in with a chance of big points with the Madrid derby still going. Only Tielemans let me down by not committing one foul all night.

Warnock in the studio. Slight villa link with Given although I don't know if he Platt's that part of his career.

I had a look at it. Didn't understand it.

You open the page before the matches, they randomly pick a stat needed by the player / team to make and then you get bingo lines with them. If you do it before the matches you also get four questions to answer which gives a chance to mark off a square or randomly change the stat. Just for fun and gives an interest in other matches.

Fuck me, almost an hour taking apart a match which happened last night. That we've all seen the highlights of.

I don't know how much of that was because it is Liverpool, and how much was to get the Madrid highlights prepped.

They showed no ET action at all

Did much happen in ET when all the "action" was really in the penalty drama and fall out? Like I said, it is Liverpool, so if one team other than Man Utd was going to get the "let's look at them going out as many ways as possible", it would be them. But we also know that they film segments for the CL MOTD in advance and because the ET and penalties could have happened in the matches, they could easily have filmed extra coverage analysis whilst they prep to cover this.

I didn't watch it last night as no Villa involvement. But just seen a clip and was it Deeney AND Rooney on as  guest pundits?? Wow.

Wazza is coming into his own as an analyst. Did an interesting piece on Reece James struggling against Declan Rice. He seems quite shy naturally so fair play to him for stepping outside his comfort zone (as he has done with management even if it hasn't gone great).

Pity he has never applied any of the analysis to his management roles.

Well he didn't have a birds-eye view of the pitch and top Beeb researchers and help when slumped in the dugouts at  Pride Park, Home Park or the Trillion Trophy Stadium.

Exactly. They are fed the analysis and their career as footballers is supposed to give it more weight. I just wish they’d pick pundits who could articulate it better.

As mentioned by a few, Stephen Warnock is exactly that - speaks with authority and is clear and concise.

Troy Deeney is awful but still a hundred times better than the braying donkey Richards who looks and acts like a total tosser

Seedorf is really good on the champions league matches. Know his stuff, is assured but also seems reasonably humble but must also think who the feck is this eejit every time Daniel Sturridge rambles on.
