Logan is excellent, IMO. Sounds like Cates, Logan and Mark "no, not that one, Yoko" Chapman are all doing the job. Not sure if they're taking it in turns or having three at once.

I'm sure VillaTim will be angry, regardless.

Just wait until a woman is announcing Villa 1 - 1 Leicester at lower in the running order than Wolves 2 - 4 Brighton.

He'll probably explode.

They're good TV  :-[presenters just not my cup of Tea  . Like I say , rarely watch it and when I do I only watch villa when we win and mute out the other parts . The episode they did with no anchor or commentary I watched from start to finish it was really good .

You rarely watch it but post all the time on here about anti Villa bias on the programme.

God life really is too short.

Well it was about 20 mins long which seems to be your attention span so you probably did watch it all.

Good, she's great. https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2024/dec/15/kelly-cates-to-replace-gary-lineker-on-bbcs-match-of-the-day

Yeah, I really like her. I really like Gabby Logan, great choices.

Alright VillaTim, who would have been your inspired choice?

Joey Barton probably. He seems the type.

Good choices for MoTD. Proper, knowledgeable presenters - just need to sack hyena Richards now.

Good choice, intelligent and articulate, miles better than the multitude of thickos that seem to get picked to present and pundit football.

Wouldn't have been my choice but fits the BBC brief of a wholesome person, nice and inoffensive, except to a certain demographic, and that's probably a good thing..

Plus she knows the game.

Having a Scottish presenter doing our English MOTD? the game’s finally gone woke.

And before anyone comes back at me with Bob Wilson, he was at least born in this country. And he was a man, despite his middle name.

I didn't think BBC/MOTD had the pull to lure her from Sky otherwise I would have put her forward. However my first choice would have been Kate Scott, although she is exclusively contracted to CBS who probably can afford to pay her loads.

She does quite a lot of stuff on Five Live anyway doesn't she? So I'm guessing she's part of the BBC sports presenting furniture already.

Particularly pleased for Gabby Logan, she has been with the Beeb for a long time and this is fully deserved. For those, who don't know, her father is Terry Yorath, former Leeds United player and Wales international and her husband is Kenny Logan, former Scotland rugby international, earned 70 caps.
