I think we need somebody. Maybe Sturridge would be worth a punt on a short term contract until January. I am guessing he would work his arse off to try to get a longer deal.

The problem is, with Sturridge, "work his arse off" would probably happen in the literal sense - then he'd be injured (missing arse) for the rest of the season.
