Why don't we take a punt on bringing in a freebie who has no club? Dan Sturridge? Or even see if Gabby is fit? Imagine him up top with Wesley?

OK, so that last bit was a joke but is there anyone out there we could bring in?  I think we're very light up top, as much as I like kodija and Keinan I just can't see them cutting it in this league, let's face it they barely did in the championship?

Llorente would be one i'd have looked at taking on a decent short contract but he'll probably end up in Italy. Sturridge is just too injury prone, only twice has he played more than 20 league games in a season, and you can't see that improving as he gets older.

I think we need somebody. Maybe Sturridge would be worth a punt on a short term contract until January. I am guessing he would work his arse off to try to get a longer deal.
