Feeling like we need 3pts from this one. Steady the nerves a bit.

I’m flying in from Oz ,fingers crossed for first win, maybe 1 1 we have to get Wesley on the score sheet.

Everton are solid as a rock. We won't score on Friday, so its a matter of keeping it tight at the back. 0-0 at best, but I'd wager 0-1 to them.

Heaton

Targett
Mings
Engels
Elmo

Douglas
McGinn
Grealish

El Ghazi
Wesley
Trezuguet

That will be the team I think.

Feeling like we need 3pts from this one. Steady the nerves a bit.

Big time, that was a very average Bournemouth side we lost to at the weekend. Spurs were understrength too. A win would change everything but our manager needs to be a lot braver in his team selections. We won't go anywhere aside from back to the second division if he keeps persisting with those full backs. Our front three haven't worked at all first two games so a significant tactical reshuffle is required.

------------------Heaton
Guilbert, Engels, Mings, Targett
-------------Luiz, Hourihane
---- Jota, Grealish, McGinn
----------------Wes

Not that Jota has done anything to deserve a start but it's unlikely Marvelous will come straight into the starting team having not even made the bench yet. Trez might be a better option off bench and AEG needs dropping. I'm a little worried about the quality on our bench already to be honest.

Hourihane coming in adds goal threat at a minimum and improved set pieces.

I think Trezeguet, finishing apart, has been our most impressive attacking player so far. I certainly wouldn't be dropping him.

Sadly, I can't see us scoring, but we'll be hard to beat.

I'll take 0-0 but sadly it's another lesson to be learned for us - 0-1 my prediction. We've got to stop fannying around in our own half and get some support to Wes. I'd play Guilbert and Targett.

Everton are a good side and it'll be difficult again.  A hard-fought draw.

Got the afternoon off, so train up from London and a few beers to set things up nicely. I'm just hoping the rocking atmosphere lasts longer than 45 seconds this time around.

Villa Park, Friday 23rd August 2019, 8pm

I'm flying in for this one with the Perpignan Villans and the South Burgundy Villans.

So that will be my mate and me, as far as I know.
Bad English, my brother lives near Limoges, which ,if my Geography serves,  is not too far from Perpignan. H's abig Villa fan, is it worth him contacting 'Perpignan or  S.Burgundy Villains /. If so, do you have any contact details?. Thank you,VTID.....Godzvilla!

I expect to see a 3-1 win with our goals coming from Wesley, McGinn and Mings.
