SJM playing them on his own here.

Indeed. Jack is all over the shop, mainly marking El Ghazi out the game.

I'm not hammering Wesley based on two performances, but he's a spearhead forward in a team that doesn't look to have a sharp cutting edge in this league. It's putting it mildly to state that he could do with a goal in the second half.

Playing alright , punished for naive errors , we need a goal and we’ll go on to win this

Ref is Martin Atkinson so probably most experienced ref at this level now with Mike Dean.

As I've said before surely the VAR guy is watching this and telling him that Billing foul was worthy of another yellow?

Anyway feels a bit like the Swansea cup game last season. Think they scored a couple early on and just when things were looking better they picked another off on the break and it really was over at 3-0.

Can see same happening here. Interested to see what half time changes we make.

Jack was anonymous.

Luiz grew into the game and looks increasingly classy.

Wesley also getting better but doesn’t look like any kind of goal threat and appearing increasingly insane to be relying on him up front.

Worst set pieces I’ve seen for a long time - get Conor on?

I don’t think they’re better than us but hard to tell because we gave them a 2 goal head start.

We should know better than to expect any help from the crooked refs of the PL this season. If they're not Homers, then they favour established teams. See treatment of Cardiff last season for example. Sounds fucking awful I know, but we can't rely on fair decisions unfortunately. Learned that very quickly last week v Spurs.

It’s looking pretty fucking grim at the moment. Fight back Villa.

I'd rather we didn't gift them two goals. That way we'd be less reliant on the ref's decisions.

I dunno, he’s been soft on billing but otherwise don’t think he’s been that bad. We’ve been our own worst enemies.

A stupid penalty and a deflected own goal are the only things separate the teams. We need to move up a few gears second half.

Masters of our own downfall. Poor mistakes gifting them 2 goals.

Been reasonably even since, but we definitely lacked a cutting edge. Worrying the lack of attacking options on the bench

Fucking terrible ref but we’ve been atrocious. Masters of our own downfall. Wesley look like a big, shit, carthorse.

We tried to replace Tammy like for like and it’s not worked out yet at all. Tammy is much more mobile and instinctive. Wesley looks rather cumbersome so far.

Not sure about Wesley. Looked terrible at the start but got better and did some good work in the ball at the end of the half. Put it on a plate for trezeguet who has had all our best chances in the last 1.5 games and not made the most of any of them.
