Still no Freddie which I find very surprising given his excellent pre season and no Marvellous. It's possible early on Dean is going with Elmo/Trezeguet and Taylor/AEG chemistry before slowly integrating the new players

Who would you drop for them, though?

With Luiz an out and out DM would致e like at least one more adventurous full back.

Fitness must be an issue with Marvellous but then he did go on strike....

Taylor, with Targett taking his place and Guilbert replacing Targett, and Lansbury.

I'm surprised Marvelous doesn't make the bench ahead of Lansbury.

I don't have a problem with that team actually.  Elmo and Taylor put in decent shifts at Spurs and don't deserve dropping.  It also keeps the same back four together.

Not really a case of dropping but given Elmo played all summer and Freddie played so well in the summer that would be an obvious one you'd have thought. And on the bench Marvellous for Lansbury. But I do know that Dean likes Lansbury a lot. In any case, both Elmo and Taylor actually did ok last week.

Good to see Dougie Lou make his full debut. That's at least the midfield we all wanted.

Nakamba must be to do with fitness played in Afcon and no pre season.  Really don稚 understand Guilbert not even in the squad though.

So not even benched are the two goalies out in the cold, Chester and House (both injured), Guilbert, Nakamba and Kodjia (injured). I feel there's another new signing I've missed

Don't understand those full back selections particularly Taylor. Reeks of conservatism on a day where we need to keep the ball a lot better. Hourihane unlucky to be dropped imo.
