The Club can confirm that Tom Heaton and Wesley both suffered significant knee ligament damage during our match with Burnley on Wednesday and will now miss the rest of the season.

Gutted.

Obviously gutted for us but for him too. That could be a career-ender. He's had on-going fitness issues and niggly injuries all season.

We will miss him massively, you see him out talking to the defence frequently. He'll miss the Euros too and you'd imagine that's the end of his international career.

Gutted for Tom and us. He’s been excellent for us so far, and it’s going to be a tough call for one of the current replacements to even come close to the same levels. We have urgent transfer requirements in midfield and up front so I doubt we’ll see another keeper come in unless it’s a loan with Kalinic being sold.

Brilliant. We have four very good players in this squad and two of them are done for the season.

So much positivity around the Burnley result, performance, Delano showing he can be flexible and we get this happen. Absolutely shattered for both of them.

Absolutely dreadful news about Tom & Wesley. Why does every glimpse of the silver lining get rapidly consumed by a dirty-great dark cloud?! I hope & pray we've got a cunning plan: otherwise these bloody injuries will do for us this season...

If we had the 2-3 points extra from, for example Palace away, West Ham at home and Arsenal away  and currently sat on 23-24 points it would all look much more achievable.

Nyland and Steer may well see us through but we simply must sign two forwards.

I'm gutted for him and for us but people saying it's potentially a career-ender are getting ahead of themselves. He's only 33 and keepers generally go on for a lot longer.

He's 34 in April and facing up to a year out, it's not a massive leap to think it could be a big probem for him.
