I'd imagine it was 2010/11 with Downing and Young, possibly Bent as well. Can't remember who got caps in what games.

Yup, June 2011. A 2-2 with Switzerland. Young Downing and Bent.

Milner had already completed his move to Man City.

We had 3 (THREE!) in the 2010 World Cup Squad.

Name them without looking them up!

What a save Heaton pulled off in the second half yesterday.  My brain was just processing that it was definitely going in the top corner when a magnificent white glove appeared and saved the day.

Another match where that man showed his worth and he’s definitely one of the best bits of business we’ve done in recent years.

Keep it up.

Yes, it was a cracking save alright.  He's an excellent shot stopper.

That save reminded me of Mark Bosnich at Sunderland in that League Cup tie a million years ago.

Is he really any better than Steer, seems stuck on his line?

😂 couldn’t have been further from his line when he was lobbed

Didn't fancy the collision with Wood was my take on it. Burnley tried to crowd him with every set piece so they must see it as a weakness in his game . Steer used rarely leave his line either, mind.

He wasn’t stuck on his line when he broke up an attack where we had pushed up and they would have been through if he hadn’t anticipated it.

I think Heaton  appears suspect at times with the ball at his feet. He nearly came a cropper when closed down in the second half by Woods I think, and there was a similar moment v Bournemouth. He doesn’t yet dominate the box in the way I expected.

He should have come and got that ball for their second.
