I'm sure he will - but then I think the same of Steer.

I think Heaton should personally pay for my return flight over, cover the costs of my hotel and supply me with match tickets and free drink.  Do it Tom, you know it makes sense

I think over the season Heaton will save us more points than he costs us.

so any idea of the cause of the aberration yesterday? I was sitting right behind him and the guy was going nowhere other than into the Holte advertising boards.  A rush of blood doesn't even come close - it was suicide goalkeeping.

He just thought he could get the ball I assume, nothing more than that.

Odd to see a keeper actually slide in and tackle, normally just go with the hands.

Name me a goalkeeper, playing for any club including the best, who hasn't done something like Tom did yesterday in the last 30 years?

He got caught in two minds. It happens. It just happened to happen at the very start of the game which blew up the game plan so it felt worse than it would otherwise have been.

There is an alternative view there though TV.  It happened in the first minute so that left eighty-nine plus left to rectify it.  Strength of character is what is needed in these situations and, being early in the season and fresh back after three years away and the changes that that absence brought means we are still developing that given all the new players getting to know each other better.

It cost more than 3 points, it caused a huge set back. Momentum is important.

To be fair, the Bournemouth player was bloody fast.

That one incident didn't cost us 3 points. There was still an entire game left to play and we let in a second through two mistakes from Trez and Luiz coupled with an unfortunate deflection. It didn't help but there wouldn't have been much momentum at the time. The game was barely underway. It would however have affected our game plan with the second ruining it entirely.

And Dave yes. I am sure at the moment the game plans are quite defined to integrate all the new players, so when something like that happened it made the task that much harder. Had it occurred later in the season I imagine we would be better positioned to come back from it. Still though can't account for errors and at this level against any team it's very costly.
