I was talking to a Burnley fan i vaguely know on Saturday night. He reckons we have a great keeper, leader and captain in Heaton and reckons he will gain us 10 points this season. He says he is a real organiser of the defence. He feels they have sold him a year too soon but reckons Nick Pope is very good and Burnley have taken the £80 now rather than a small fee in 12 months. He also says Westwood has been fantastic for them. He was voted their player of the season in May.

People could be forgiven for thinking Sean Dyche was a better manager than Paul Lambert.
In the spirit of the times I just thought I would make up a number!! Obviously a typo, the true figure was near £127.Burnley bloke was absolutely waxing lyrical over Dyche. Completely agree with your comments re Westwood and Lowton, Damo.Incidentally, he mentioned that one of his best mates from university is a Nose so he used to occasionally go to the Sty with him when he couldn't get to a Burnley game. He thought they were alright and decent fans. After a few years they finally played each other and he went in the away end, and he subsequently changed his opinion, referring to their fans as "the Leeds of the Midlands". He reckons Leeds are more obnoxious than Blues though, despised across the whole of Yorkshire (his mom and dad are from Burnley but he grew up in Sowerby, West Yorks).
Come on now, chaps. It's our Paul's birthday. He looks a lot older than fifty since the stress of managing Villa for all those years.
Was awesome on Saturday, could have been down a few more if it wasn't for some great saves.Loved how after we conceded the first he came out and was clapping and geeing up the lads and trying not to let heads go down in disappointment. He's going to make a very valuable contribution this season.

I think him Engels and Mings could be a fantastic core to our defence. (I nearly said threesome but didn't want to give the mucky pups a pnarrr opportunity. Changed it to trio, but wanted to avoid a chocolate biscuit themed pun fest.)
