If surgery is "up in the air" and to be decided within the next 48hrs what does that mean.. small meniscus tear?

FFS, I know every club thinks it but I really do think we have worse than average luck with injuries.

Disappointing news, to put it mildly.

He jogged off as though it was a tactical change.

If he's being ruled out for the rest of the season, that's probably an ACL injury.

Gutted for the lad as he's been a real positive since SG came in. Wish him all the best in what is a long road to recovery.

You would have thought so but then there would be no decision to make about surgery?!?

As someone who has torn their ACL, you ain't bloody jogging anywhere for several weeks.

I’m hoping (trying to stay positive)it’s more that Marv has a niggle which at some point needs surgery, so he has it now before he’s away on international duty, where he would miss games for us anyway. We therefore win in the long run.

A real gutter, I've always liked the guy and I think that we've always looked a better, more balanced team with him in it.

Fuck me. Aside from the obvious fact that he's a good lad and doesn't deserve this, it's of course happened when he's playing very well and has become an important cog in the team.

Why do we have such shit luck with injuries?

Best of luck with the recovery marvellous. You have been a revelation since Gerrards come. Rotten luck.

No question will have to dip into the transfer market come janaury now.

Terrible news for the lad, never thought he'd really make it with us so he must be distraught that when he finally gets his Villa career going, it's then stopped in its tracks. The only remote silver-lining is that we'll have to try to get a replacement, and then we'll still have Marvelous to come back.
