Yeah he was superb today, especially clearing up the mistakes from our wayward passing.

Not too long ago I'd fear the worst with him going into a 60/40 challenge. Now I'm surprised when he doesn't emerge with the ball from a 30/70. And he's picking a pass and we're keeping the ball. Keeps going at this rate and he could save us from desperately having to spend a few bob in January.

I agree.  Give him a bit longer to see if he can maintain this form.  Signing a midfielder in January will somewhat block the path of Ramsey and Chuk too so we need to be careful.

He reminds me of Elmo in the sense that although he’s never going to be a world beater he does his job very effectively and always plays with a smile on his face. He was fantastic again today.

His the biggest transformation under SG.  Really good today again.  Could be our Kante (and I've never thought that once before the last month).

But doesn’t he miss a few weeks in January for the African cup?

He was great again today. That block after Mings' error at the start of the second half was absolutely outstanding.

Good to hear that he's become a fans favourite too.

Guess we're all "whoever is playing Zimbabwe" supporters for a bit.

I can't imagine he'll be hanging around all that long.

Reminds me of Des Bremner, an essential cog in the works, outstanding today against a very good Leicester midfield! UTV

Yes, and I never thought a month ago I would have been too concerned about him missing games. However his transformation has been remarkable since Gerrard started. Hats off to Marvelous and the management!

He’s becoming undroppable at the moment. Shame some of that momentum will be interrupted with AFCON. But he’s been excellent lately.
