I still say Nakamba is better than Gueye was at the same stage. He is stronger all round and as the potential to be the perfect anchorman.

He’s no Ron Burgandy.

Remember someone on here met a Ex Villa player I think at a Stoke game think he was called Graves
No one could find hide nor hair of him in the history books

Best player on the park yesterday.  He has clearly learned and has stepped up a level and might well save us a lot of money

Marv will be vital in the early part of the season when Doug is still recovering from the Summer's exertions and it's great to see he's carried on the form he ended last season with. One to watch for sure.

He’s done enough in his fleeting appearances to be given chance.  From the start of the season until, say, october he should be given the opportunity to prove himself.  It’d give Luiz a proper rest too.

Today is the sort of game that shows up his weaknesses, doesn't read the game well enough to cut things off so he spends long periods chasing shadows. A couple of really poor passes when he had time to pick his spot as well.

Yep, if anybody needed any more reminders that this guy isn't up to it, hopefully today showed just how limited he really is.

Not his best game in a Villa shirt, but I've seen him play worse.

There are other players (and coaches) I would blame ahead of him today.

Luiz is simply a much better DM for me even if he has his flaws (given he's 22).

Not ideal but I'd be calling him off holiday early next week. Richarlison played and scored for Everton today.

Andrew Greaves better than Nakamba aswell....

That's not exactly a glowing recommendation!

Showed exactly why he’s not good enough to be any more than a squad filler. His use of the ball is consistently well below the required standard.
