He looks like he's a Destroyer. Plain and simple. Puts a foot in, wins the ball, short pass to a teammate. Job done.

YT videos can be so deceptive but both his and Luiz's look amazing.  I wouldn't like to be the person picking between the pair of them but I guess that Deano will argue that it's the type of choice he's glad he's got.

On a bit of a sobering note, there's a Villa fan out in Spain who has a season ticket at Girona.  I read a comment recently when asked what he thought of Luiz, he replied that he thought he had looked ordinary and possibly a bit lightweight.  Based purely on that comment, I would pick Marvelous against Spurs in what will be a baptism of fire for many of the players, including DM.

Spanish mate of mine (Valencia fan) said the same thing.

Mind you, being a DM in a team that gets relegated it isn’t always easy to shine, and we have seen plenty of our players move onto better things after leaving us when we were relegated (recently Gueye) so there is always hope...

I’m not actually 100% convinced that he really exists, Dave.

Isn't Dean Smith a 4-2-3-1 man at heart?

I'm beginning to think you may be right Richard.  No one is owning up to seeing him anywhere, no sneaky photo's or such like.
