Im not sure we actually needed another centre midfield player unless its for next season if Luiz goes back to Man City like was mentioned. I can't see Hourihane getting much game time this season now, and Lansbury, Bjarnason, O'Hare can forget about it.
We definitely need to strengthen in midfield. Hourihane has just been rewarded with a contract extension but I don’t see a future for BB or Lansbury at Villa Park, and O’Hare needs to go out on loan again to continue his development. Both Marvelous and Luiz are very much needed for our midfield to be competitive in the Premier League (as long as they are as good as expected).

I think we have only ever had Zambians. Freddy Mwilah, forget the name of the other one, and Jackie Sewell played for them too.

Apologies, yes they were from Zambia not Zimbabwe, like Boris I get confused in the details. Close but no cigar. The other was Emment Kapengwe.

So far, although that's always stage 1 of an official announcement.  Stage 2 is Wolves saying he's shit, stage 3 is the bloke on Pravda asking him *just* what it means to play for a club like Villa.

What are we going to nickname him?  I'd go for Toby.  Toby Jones who played Neil Baldwin in the film adaptation of his life.

Do we really need another player for this end of the pitch with all the cover we have . In comparison our 8/9/10 goal scorer / centre forward area seems so weak in comparison

This is pretty much how our week has been since 27th May.

Following the twitter to link to the sky sports article and it says he would be our second signing of the window.  It’s obviously a very old article!
