He's too good for Luton.

Yeah but the other choice was The Hawthorns, so, you know?

Nakamba barely gets on the bench, couldn't even get on against Stevenage. He wasn't even cover at the end.

He blossomed in Gerrard's honeymoon period, the gaffer liked him and called him Naka. He got a bad injury and never played again. It's a cruel and shit business.

A shame about the injury he suffered when he had done very well in his first few games with Gerrard as manager. Good luck Marv, great signing for Luton.

Totally agree - bit shocked by that move to be honest.

I would of kept him for cover if nothing else

Cover? What’s that? We’re not bothering with cover, because nothing ever goes wrong…

he's 6th choice, we have Raikhy for that (who was being picked ahead of Nakamba in the friendlies during the WC break).

Clearly along with others Nakamba isn't up to scratch to play the level of football Emery wants from a midfielder.
Him receiving possession from a goal kick or part of a team that plays out from the back is not ok.
He's a great competing for the ball and competent at recovery.
Absolutely woeful at shooting and not exactly pirlo at passing.
Can do the baiscs so will be successful in the Championship.
He had a fantastic match vs Spurs one time where he did his job to perfection and he's a very good man.
Best of luck to him.

Would have preferred to have kept him for the summer, but reckon Luton will be a good move for him, a club just one place off of the play offs, plus their manager is an ex Villa player! Wish you well Marv and thanks.

Naka knee-knack. Knackered.

Here's Steven giving him a hug:

He was very good under Gerrard initially and helped us get some decent results. He gets injured and once fit again the idiot doesn’t play him again. Despite Kamara still being out injured.

It's mismanagement again really, should have tried to move him on last summer after he played a decent amount of games last season. He has spent this season failing for most of it to even get on the bench. Limited player but gave his all.

It's only a loan isn't it? Gets him game time, gets him fit. And if Luton win tonight they could be third in the Championship with a game in hand. Could be a sensible move for all Parties.

Edit. Quote fail.

Amazing that our squad players are moving to such lower standards, incredible that these have played at this level really.

I was always a fan of his. I agree with posters on here in relation to his limitations but he was effective in breaking up play, making interceptions and getting about the oppositions midfield.

More than anything he always seemed to give all he had and he seemed to give a damn something that hasn't always been said about our players in recent years.

Good luck Marvellous.

Its good Emery is clearing out those not deemed good enough for where we are going!
