We’ve got to thin the squad to create room for better players and also the likes of Tim.  As much as I like his character Marvellous is a roadblock to that happening.

Apparently Forest and Fulham were in for Naka before the deadline:

Marv and Morgan both on the bench this week. Does that suggest they are being reintegrated? (couldn’t come up with a suitable antonym for “bomb squad”). Or put back in shop window for the transfer window.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to do that when the window was actually open?!

Yes, you might have thought so. Best defer to a commercial whizz like Purslow to explain.

I was watching Marv at half time in the Soton game, his skills were amazing.

It was nice to see young Nakamba get a few minutes against Chelsea. We have him for another 18 months, but if we don't see him playing a part I hope we let him move on in January or the summer.

He is a player whose ability I started to appreciate when there was so much failure in the CDM role. Granted, he is limited as a footballer, but I certainly started to appreciate him when he was doing the job he was purchased for. I would still sell him & start to utilise Iroegbunam more in the first team squad, but my view of Nakamba has changed a little.

He's being doing a hell of a lot of putting his hand in his pocket to help folk in Africa and set-up various foundations, according to Pravda.

Good luck to him, a wholehearted if limited player. Will always remember him trying to snap that Man City player in half at Wembley with one of the best tackles you'll ever see. Good luck Marv.

I woke up to the photo of that this morning, my mate had sent it to me on whatsap. The best of luck to him and I'm doubly happy as it looked last night like he might be going to the Albion and we can't have that.
