Engels looked very good, but Tyrone was immense today. The amount of blocks, headers and clearances was unreal. Our undoing second-half was giving the ball away cheaply.

Once the two of them have had a few more games together I think we'll be thinking about our great pairings of the past again. I thought he was brilliant.

If he can play that well on his debut, and maintain the consistency, what a player we have on our hands. Good partnership forming with Tyrone already.

Yes he offers us protection at the back.

Cooler than Laursen? Martin doesn't sweat in a sauna. You saying that Engels is The IceMan?

One particular clearance when we were under the cosh in the 2nd half was superb, the hook back over his shoulder.  Early days but I think we've found one here.

If so with Heaton, Engels, Mings, Douglas, SJM and Jack as a spine I'd be very confident of comfortably staying up.

He cost £8.5m & Maguire £85m? So a tenth of the cost! Stupid idiots at United love wasting money - Sanchez costs them £550k per week in wages and he doesn't play!

Engels marks class capital struggle.
