I'm also hoping that playing that Oasis dirge after a win will be dropped this season

I don't want deflections, I want the ball obtained and taken out to the midfield with calm assurance.

Whilst the Lyrics are quite funny is anyone really going to start singing Robbie Williams at a football match? Really?

Almost certainly.

I'm sure that there's a song that contains the lyric "Marx and Engels". I've been racking my brain all day and can't remember it.

Google hasn't helped either. That just produces a Belle and Sebastian song, and it's not that one.

Karlo Marx and Fredrich Engels
Came to the checkout at the 7-11
Marx was skint - but he had sense
Engels lent him the necessary pence

The Clash, The Magnificent Seven.

That works too:

The ball obtained
Taken out to the midfield
A lot of calm assurance
I'm loving Engels instead.

Sorry.

Liverpool (and other) fans have turned a Rodgers & Hammerstein song into probably the best known terrace song, so I wouldn't say it's impossible.

Bjorn Engels to the tune of Mr BoJangles...

I knew a man
Mr Bojrn Engles

He could jump so high
Jump so high
And then he'd lightly touch down

Mr Bojrn Engles...
Mr Bjorn Engles
Mr Bjorn Engles

That's even worse than the drum some dickhead started bringing in a few years ago. Should be an instant ban from the stadium for life for anyone that does that.

I've always disliked it, but it has grown on me on the basis that I can get to the pub, get served and get a seat while others are still busy having a singalong.

So, fuck it. It can stay. And it'll be funny next time we beat Man City or Man U. Obviously the latter will never happen but it would be nice if it did.

I like Oasis and the song but I’d rather we changed it to Sweet Caroline after we win

It's gotta be something with a Birmingham link. May be The Beat, Jackpot after a win, Rough rider on the rare occasions we lose.
