Did that footage from the Everton Forest game get released?  Did it confirm Attwell singing 'Come on you 'atters?'

I just so desperately wish theyd fuck it right off. When refereeing/VAR decisions are being debated long after the game is over you know its just wrong.
So get rid of VAR and Chelsea get the three points?

Here's an idea.  Why not get rid of the twats in the booth.  Forget about it for all but penalty decisions and offsides.  If a penalty decision is turned down, let the ref himself just go to the monitor to check his decision.  It is the re-refereeing of games that is causing all the issues.
Spot on they were useless before VAR was introduced and now VAR is putting the decision making in the spotlight, one was the Tottenham penalty right in front of him

Oh and Sweden have got rid of VAR.

Well not got rid, just not introduced in the league. However UEFA require it for their competitions so Malmo and others in competition still have to use it then.

There are plenty of pluses and minuses for every club - us included - i am speaking for the good of the game, not just Aston Villa. How many fans do you know who like it??. It has drained all the joy out of the game.

So Chelsea get the three points because fans don't like VAR,fans wanted VAR because referee and lines people were messing up and now they don't like it we get rid and fans go back to referee and lines people giving decisions to the best mates, yes they have them and had them since I being watching football

For the majority of times, VAR will only work as well as the on-field refs calls. Even some of our own fans stated it wasn't a penalty as the defender got the slightest of touches first, so if the ref's decision was a first touch, VAR would have agreed, (although their equivalent of Webb might be out stating "we would have preferred the screen review" if they did that).

But was anything else wrong?

(edit: And Watkins scored so soon afterwards that it would have to be one or the other, not both.)

Euro VAR seems to take the 'clear and obvious error' line to the extreme and won't get involved otherwise. Whereas domestically it's become like re-refereeing games and being scared stiff of coming to the wrong conclusion so ends up taking ages over it.

Marc Clattenburg has left the pathetic role he had at Forest.

Marc Clattenburg has left the pathetic role he had at Forest.
Yes Clattenberg said his role created  "unintended friction between Forest and other participants".

"It has also led to the unmerited targeting of me, personally, by certain participants and pundits," he added.

"I performed my services under the consultancy agreement in good faith, to the best of my abilities and in the hope of using my extensive experience as a match official to help Nottingham Forest understand how decisions in relation to key match incidents are made amid the workings of VAR."

So in other words, Forest have finally woken up and realised they were wasting money?

"You will go on my first whistle". With his success on primetime tele, he's probably comfortable missing out on the pay.

He got money for doing fuck all and managed to boost his profile whilst getting digs in at Webb and the others who didn't back him. So whilst he won't miss out on the pay, he definitely saw Forest coming.
