There's no food in Terrace View but I think you get two drinks and a programme.  But if someone is after a special treat, spends £280 for two tickets and then find they are stood at the back of the Holte with the kids, it's not such an appealing prospect.

I'm not advocating creating a Terrace View seating area in the Holte, far from it.  Just identifying why, in my opinion, this particular GA+ package is a white elephant.  They haven't even been able to sell it out 4 days before our first game of the season for one of the most attractive fixtures possible.

I have been in touch with the Ticket Office twice, today, over some youngsters membership issues. Got through both times without have to over wait and issues were resolved efficiently.

Membership queries are a different option when you dial the ticket number, which may be why you got through? Choose the ticket option and there’s a recorded message advising they aren’t taking calls at the moment due to excessive demand. Just tried it now ( open at 10am) and got the same message as yesterday.

Edit- Also, tried to be cheeky and get through via the membership option and got the same message.

Was there a thread/discussion about the VP screening of the WHam game last Saturday? Missed it, if so. What was it like - big crowd/worth attending/top atmos when John got the winner etc. ?

They really seem to be taking the piss atm. I had an e mail about something called The Oak Room. Yours for £16k per season. I know it'll be for corporate types but jeez. I just checked and they've sold out.

Also something called The Cells in the North Stand. A snip at £1560. You'd think they'd think of a more appealing name though wouldn't you? Apparently they're "within the original prison cells at Villa Park".

I feel like a peasant with my claret membership.

My membership pack hasn't arrived and I renewed about a month ago, should it have done?

Here is what a ticket looks like in Google Wallet..

The QR code can be revealed with 'show code' if you don't use NFC.

Hopefully everything will go smoothly and there will be no delays because of faffing and Villa technology failure.

You’re gonna struggle to find that seat and row.

Despite telling me my membership would auto-renew, it did not auto-renew. I had to renew it manually.

Despite telling me my membership would auto-renew, it did not auto-renew. I had to renew it manually.

Happened to a mate of mine who couldn’t get an Arsenal ticket when he went online at 5pm on the day of sale. And the error message had no mention of the fact that his auto renewal hadn’t been done.  After a few hours of trying he realised what the issue was and renewed his membership manually - but then had to wait 72 hours for it to be activated, by which time most seats had gone. Luckily we got him some through alternative means.

Also, the ticket office still aren’t taking calls today. I’m not panicking though, just fucked off with having to jump through hoops just to get tickets.

Mine was set to auto-renew around the date the Arsenal tickets went on sale. I renewed manually in case the system thought I was no longer a member and refused to let me purchase a ticket. If you do renew early, the renewal date is taken as the day after the previous year's expiry date so you don't 'lose out'.

Same happened to me, only found out when I was on holiday and couldn't buy a ticket for the Bilbao game so had to wait for the general sale window.
