The website had no mention of Everton tickets going on sale but app did. Also, as with Arsenal tickets, when the ticket email arrived the link to access the ticket didn’t work. This needs fucking sorting out

I still dont understand why heck cancelled the expansion.  Its quiet clear demands going to be even higher this year so alot of fans are going to miss out

Because they were worried about the GA+ (premium) demand.  Adding thousands of standard-priced seats doesn't really pay for itself, they honestly couldn't give a shite if you get a ticket or not.  In fact, they'd rather you didn't so there's more chance you'll pay for the GA+ seats.

But part of their problem is most the GA+ packages come with terrible seats.  £150 for a terrace view - here's your ticket right at the back or the corner of the Holte End...

Here is a copy of the e-mail I was sent when I bought two tickets plus a paraphrase of the mail I have sent to the ticket office

  • The e-mail states that e-tickets are designed to be used as tickets that are printed at home and we are asked to print the tickets in advance at home. However, There were no PDF tickets attached, nor is there a link to download them. There is no link via the app or the ticket website either.
  • We are also asked to download the 'PDF' tickets if using our mobile phone. The only tickets I have been able to download are to Google Wallet.
I have two questions regarding this:

  • In the event that my (currently damaged) phone were to stop working, how can I get a paper backup in order to avoid delays and inconvenience on match day.
  • I have downloaded both tickets to my Google Wallet but for practical reasons my partner will be entering the turnstiles at a different time. Can I use the Share function in Google Wallet to forward the ticket to their phone? Or can I send them the link in the notification e-mail which is in the format hxxps://astonvillanfc.fortressgb.com/FGB_MobilePass/Production/api/Barcode2MobilePass/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxlotsofnumbers (I have modified this link to avoid it being used)

And now the ticket office telephone number has an automated message advising  they aren’t taking any calls at the moment. I can only imagine the meltdown if they used this system to sell tickets for a 60,000 capacity stadium.

Same i've just emailed them. With Arsenal they sent the tickets again by email and eventually i was able to add to my apple wallet.

as for BE's Qs - I suspect the first would mean a physical trip to the ticket office on the evening and the second it is possible to reallocate tickets via your online account. I was playing around with it yesterday when i couldnt download the Everton tickets. You go to your orders and are then offered the choice.

Don't know if this has been asked before, apologies if so, but has there been a spike in new memberships so folks can get in the first window for Champions League tickets? I know the draw is only days away, and we could possibly be looking at the most exciting games in a generation. The website will be in meltdown and we'll all be going to the back of the queue no doubt..

I can state that me and my lad are now members although still waiting the free gifts.

Although he is too young to attend night games in the main.

Don't get too excited about the gifts, I got a beanie hat with the badge on upside down a couple of years ago

I think that the Members scheme should have some form of loyalty system like ST's have for away tickets, it's not been too much of an issue previously, but I know when the tickets went on sale for the CL semi, it was a free for all with everyone lumped in the same bracket which caused chaos on the ticket website and lots of regulars missing out (don't know that for a fact, just from seeing people moaning!)

We are already paying substantial individual ticket prices compared to ST's, so some kind of actual benefit would be good, especially when the UCL go on sale if we have a larger membership than previous years

I have a truly annoying amount of alerts/prompts in my electronic diary (every different onsale tier for every match) but they are there well in advance so I knew the onsale times in advance (I also made the mistake of synching two different levels of villa diaries thinking it’d be smart enough to dispkk looksce the lower level one, so have most things twice, I’ll eventually get round to rationalising it).

I have been in touch with the Ticket Office twice, today, over some youngsters membership issues. Got through both times without have to over wait and issues were resolved efficiently.

Yeah it does appear that way chris. I mean i did lower grounds on saturday (not sure id you saw my post) but gave me a opportunity to see what its like and what the foods like.

The lower grounds itself is lovely massive screen spacious ans can get a drink quickly

However the food absolutely sucked. How can you have burgers with no choice of fried onions and cheese thats just grated? Who wants grated cheese on a burger ffs. 😂 also the chips were burnt. The thing was it wasnt that busy.

So if thats the kind of food you are getting for TV they gonna have a lot of unsold tickets. If you want to have premium experience with OTT prices the food has to be a lot better than that
