Might have been Faulkner.

It was (along with Randy) last paragraph:
https://astonvilla.vitalfootball.co.uk/season-ticket-holders-thanks-from-randy-lerner/

Can't do a quoteathon on my phone (praise Mings) so thanks for confirming to all concerned.

How far we have travelled since those dark and dirty days... That I thought it might have been Fat Keith shows how ingrained that culture had really become at the club and until all too recently to boot.

I'm now just starting to believe that promotion hasn't just been a cruel windup, that the ref isn't going to call us back to disallow AEG or SJM's goals two days after the event, and that our Owners, CEO, DOF,  Head Coach, Captain and indeed the entire crew of the good ship Villa are steering a safe passage to a hallowed haven of palm trees, rum and coconuts, and half nekkid dusky maidens.

To quote Douglas Adams on this site for the second time this week, I think I feel good about it.

I think that you, of all people, are hiding your light under a bushel here a bit Rodders. I  fully believe that those crumpets/pikelets that you made played a crucial role in our success!

Aw shucks, your Sexualness.

So if your chronology is correct it was the crumplets - for that is what they will always be from hereon in - that led to the hospital bed that led to the Bitter Olbiyon that led to the outpouring of H&V love that led to Super John McGinn doing a creditable impression of my Norfolk Terrier under Roos that led to Jack blacking his eye while lifting the trophy.

Yer, alright. I'll take that!

Yep!  Four in total, one in each of the kids' bedrooms.  My three year old daughter went to sleep holding it last night, and her teddy had a Villa scarf on.

I took early retirement end of January and had no intention of ever making a return visit to my old firm to say hello again but I may have to pay a visit, there is one particular bitter bird there who is more of a Villa hater than an Albion fan, he is truly vile, he may have to see my face one last time.

SHA have a new thread about us. Have a read - their inferiority complex is hilarious! Some are glad we've gone up to avoid further beatings and the loss of 6 points. Lovely stuff!

I casually chucked mine onto the mirror in the hall when I got home. My Mrs freind had a right face on when she saw it last night, the Sandwell drip.

The play-off final win was achieved without the appearance of an Orange Dot or Fish Pie
