Some great bits today:
The future King punching the air
Jedinak dishing out instructions from the side of the pitch
Pitarch in tears, Jack getting twatted by the trophy
Wes and Nassef hugging
Every Villa player, in the squad or not, was absolutely chuffed.
Magic.  The fallen giant is back on its feet.

Just got back in at Northfield having left at 7. Absolutely fucking hanging. Beers on train with strangers, beers in boxpark with strangers all great. Game was great. Some unsavoury stuff on way to Baker Street where a group of Derby Yoof basically said to another group of vanilla fans move your Mate from here or we will fuck him up. Other thàn that. Had a great day and fuck loads of beer and have a crush on El Gazi.

Well that’s it for the season. We go back to some grounds we haven’t been to for a couple of years being Luton, Charlton and Huddersfield. Congrats to Villa but I will miss our trip there and @AVFC_WMP I was in the Tranmere end, Sunderland end and Villa end, the Jinx has gone 👍

Only just got back in after being at Wembley earlier (traffic, a meal and then dropping people off in various locations) and have to say, that like others, I just feel an overwhelming sense of relief.

As for the game, it is one match where the result is everything and performances don't matter one iota.  Like we did on many occasions during our extended winning run at the end of the season, we found a way to win without being spectacular.  I thought Derby hardly threatened until the closing stages, but we hung on and got over the line.

Only really downside for me was the behaviour of a minority of our fans that I witnessed before the game.  A coach of Derby fans went past that green area and was pelted with a few beer cans at first, but then with bottles and other objects.  Some of the windows on the coach were smashed, which was out of order, particularly as there may well have have been families on there.   As I say, it was just a minority though and the vast majority of our fans were in high spirits and created a great atmosphere.

don't care and we don't need ex officers of the club spoiling anything. The future is all that matters.

What a fucking day! On the train back with a load of Derby fans. Just phenomenal, and I now consider Mr Sexual Ealing and his cousin as brothers from another mother.

What a day. Cousin John and I will a;ways love you.

Those last 10 minutes were agony to watch live but watching it back we looked more in control than it felt like. McGinn & Conor were everywhere, Axel & Steer composed and Mings a colossus.

Big nod for Hause too. Came on unexpectedly and won everything that came his way.

Aston Villa often make a lot of us cry for the wrong reasons. Yesterday they did so in a good way. Now  the club have some very tough decisions to make in bringing the right players in, and just as importantly, letting  players go, not just those out of contract, but elephants in the room like RM. The new owners seem to have  re energized the club and long may it continue, but if we want to stay in the promised land, some very business-like decisions have to be taken. As for yesterday - just marvelous. Some Talkshite presenters were last night asking if Villa are a big club - probably the most rhetorical question ever.

Just watched the replay in comfort and no thumping heartbeat, couple of observations Hourihane was the most aggressive I've seen him thought Jack had little influence Green was a liability when he came on and I wondered when we were under pressure why he didn't use the last sub.

Brilliant day at Wembley. Strange game, pitch seemed a bit dry?, but deserved win. Don't think we were anywhere near our best but we did enough. On a day when the likes of Grealish struggled, lesser lights like Elmo, Hourihane and El Ghazi were superb. McGinn was excellent in second half. We stopped playing for about 10 mins when cruising and Derby got back into it. Strange team selection from Lampard didn't help the Derby cause and they were very poor late rally aside.

Huge job of work over the summer. Mings is a must buy but the club is far stronger now.

Steer 7, Elmo 8, Tuanzebe 6, Mings 7, Taylor 5, Hourihane 7, McGinn 8, Grealish 6, El Ghazi 9, Abraham 6. Green 5, Hause 6.

More or less with you, thought it was a toss up between El Ghazi and Elmo for MOM whilst McGinn was incredible second half. However, thought Hause was a TEN. Brilliant cameo, got his head  on the end of every cross and headers went a mile. Commanding stuff, if anything, was even better than Tyrone.

Well said. I thought I was the only one who noticed.
